Underwriting in Salesforce via MuleSoft | PS Advisory + Sixfold

By PS Advisory Team

Every submission read, scored and prioritized. Inside Salesforce.

A pre-built MuleSoft connector takes each submission from the broker's email to the record your underwriter already has open. One line of business live in about four weeks, at a fixed scope.

Your underwriters are spending two days a week typing, not underwriting.

A submission arrives as an email and a pile of attachments. It lands in an inbox, not in Salesforce. Someone reads it, decides whether it is in appetite, and keys the useful parts into one system or two.

Every underwriting team Sixfold meets says the same thing: too much volume to know where to start, and three hours gone on a case that was never in appetite.

It's built. Here is what it does.

Sixfold learns your guidelines and your appetite, then trains on your past submissions to pick up how your team actually decides. It reads every new submission, email and attachments in any format, and does the triage: quote, refer, or out of appetite. The underwriter steps in only where judgment is needed.

The connector PS Advisory built with Sixfold carries those answers into Salesforce, onto the record the underwriter already has open. No second screen, no re-keying.

  1. The broker's submission arrives: email body and every attachment.

  2. Sixfold scores it against your appetite and recommends the next action.

  3. The MuleSoft connector carries the signals across, with authentication, monitoring and logging already in place.

  4. They land in Salesforce: on the case object today, on any object in your schema by configuration, custom ones included.

Why MuleSoft and not a point-to-point integration

An API is the mailbox at the end of the driveway. A point-to-point integration wires two mailboxes together, and it works until one side changes its API. Then you have a rework project and a queue to join.

MuleSoft is the postal service. It collects, routes and delivers, with monitoring that tells you when something went wrong and logs that tell you what. When Sixfold adds a field or you add a data provider, absorbing it is a configuration change measured in days, including testing. The brain gets smarter without a new project.

Four weeks. Fixed scope. Security already on the platform.

Questions carriers ask us

  1. We use custom objects, not the case object. Does that matter? No. The connector pushes Sixfold's signals to any object in your Salesforce schema by configuration. Custom objects are the normal case.

  2. Do we need MuleSoft already? The fastest path is Salesforce plus MuleSoft in place; then the engagement is adding Sixfold. If you don't have it, we scope that with you and your Salesforce account team.

  3. What does Sixfold need from us? Your underwriting guidelines, your appetite, and past submissions to learn from. Then every new submission as it arrives.

  4. What does the security review look like? Your team reviews a platform they have likely already approved, not a hand-built integration.
